USING A ROLLER FOR HOME

  1. A roller will speed paining time considerably, but you will a still need a brush to" cut in" around woodwork.
  2. For roller paining, use measured amount of thinner. Unthinner pains may wrinkle and crack later.Choice of thinner depends on paint type.
  3. Water paints settle quickly. Rubber-base paint dry rapidly, Both leave hard lumpe on roller, spots on surface painted.Thinner prevents this trouble.
  4. Fluffy roller holds alot of paint. Don't overload it. Roll out excess on upper part of pan, Which is kept free of paint for just this purpose.
  5. When using a roller, begin with several crisscross strokes and aways start painting by rolling upward.
  6. Don't rush the job. If roller is moveed too rapidly, it throws paint up ahead. These spots dry quickly, will show under final coating.Work slowly.
  7. Keep roller and paint clean. Dip roller frequently into thinner,  whether water or turpentine or alcohol. Shake lightly to remove excess thinner.
  8. Wash and rinse roller as soon as all painting is finished. Several rinses in thinner, then drying, will put in back in shape for next job.
