HOW TO BUILD A WALL (4)

Going Around a Corner. For the average short wall, In outside corner post consists of three pieces of 2-by-3 joined as sketched. If the inside surface of this wall is not going to be covered  two pieces may be used, joined as an L and put in place on the sold plate. The three piece post, however, is necessary where both sides of the wall are to be covered.
   Inside the Wall. At this point, install any wiring that must pass through the wall, or position any outlet boxes, switch receptacles and light receptacles. If you have to extend heating pipes or ducts or plumbing facilities of any sort, get them in now. Also, if you plan on making use of any of the space between studs for built-ins, mark their location and set in supports for the future recessed items.
  Covering Up. Gypsum boards are the add-on favorite for covering walls in any area of the house. This material consists of gypsum plaster between two layers of cardboard, forming a plaster sandwich.Sheets range up to 4 by 12'. With the exception of wood-grained gypsum  wallboard, which is decorated , it lends itself to any decorative finish paint,paper, fabric or texture.The decorative material may be applied as soon as the joints are throughty dry. Paint can be applied by brush, spray or roller. For all paints, be sure to apply the proper primer or sealer as first coat. The type of primer or sealer will vary with the sort of paint selected, so follow the paint manufacturer's directions;
